Question by Mrs Neufeld: Where can I get maternity bridesmaids dresses online for a good price?
I’m going to be a bridesmaid in September, and I’ll be 32 weeks pregnant at that time. What are some good websites to get maternity bridesmaids dresses for a good price?

Best answer:

Answer by rbxcbe
Try Shiny Orb. Although the number of dresses marked “maternity” is small the truth is that many designer dresses come in maternity sizes. Shiny Orb has thousands of bridesmaid dresses. Personally, I think the dresses with ruched fabric in front looks great and pregnant bridesmaids. Hope this helps.

I know if you get pregnant, you nipples darken alot and breasts become fuller. Anything else i can tell from pms?

Best answer:

Answer by acj3576
Before I found out I was pregnant, I thought for sure that my period was going to start any second. I felt exactly like I had PMS. So the only thing that was different for me was the positive test.

Question by : Does anyone have any potty training tips for a 2 yr old?
my daughter just turned 2 and i am trying to potty train her. i can get her to sit down on the potty but i just cant ever get her to go in it.

Best answer:

Answer by snowwillow20
Don’t ask if she has to go, just take her every hour.
Get a potty chair and let her decorate it with stickers.
Get a potty DVD like Elmo and let her watch it everyday.
Reward with clapping, singing, jelly beans and stickers.
Get rid of all the diapers and pull ups except at night.
Let her pick out her own big girl pantys.
If she isn’t showing any interest, wait a month and try again.
Going to the potty should not be stressful, it should be fun.

Question by yarn whore: When you share recipes with other people, do you ever leave out an ingredient on purpose?
I love sharing recipes with others, but have found that someone I have exchanged with doesn’t give the full recipe – leaves out something noncritical to the recipe. I think she does this because she does not want to share the recipe really. Has this ever happened to you? Have you ever done this when sharing a recipe?

I always make sure to give the entire recipe and even my tricks and tips to make the recipe turn out as yummy as possible. I even share the recipes I use in my baking business because I think it helps my business.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Best answer:

Answer by C. C
I share my recipes w/o altering it. It’s funny how some people do that. It has never happend to me.

Question by Elizabeth’s mommy: potty training tips please for girls?
I am potty training my 19 month old daughter as she shows several signs. I gave her some crayons and paper earlier, and she sat on the toilet and ten minutes later, she peed. we praised her highly and she was very pleased. I have been recording her bms, and i am going to attempt to get onto the toilet tommorow in time. any tips, ideas, and success stories?

Best answer:

Answer by Skulkarn
stay home, take off her underwear, give her lots to drink, and try to have her sit on the potty every half hour. HUGE praise and congratulating (make a fool out of yourself!) anytime she pees to celebrate. I also found that stopping all diapers pull ups at all times helped. So get rid of the diapers – buy her “big girl” underwear that she likes (dora, wonderpets, sesame street, etc), and tell her she doesn’t want to pee on Dora! Be prepared for lots of accidents. if she pees on herself at home, she won’t like peeing down her leg, so that helps you encourage her to pee on potty. When you go out, have changes of underwear and pants.

if you bring her out in diapers, but keep her in underwear at home, she won’t know when its ok to “go” in her pants, and may have more accidents.

Good luck! If you can stay home for 3 days in a row, and just potty train all day, you will get a lot accomplished.

Question by Gracee’s Mom, Taylin due7/29: What are some easy to make pasta recipes?
Pasta is one of my favorite meals, so if you know any easy to make pasta recipes, please let me know.

Best answer:

Answer by hambone
Baked Ziti

1 T Olive Oil
½ lb. lean ground beef
1 Cup chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
26-30 ounces jarred marinara sauce (prefer home made)
1 8 ounce can tomato sauce
1 tsp dried oregano
16 ounces Ziti – cooked 8 minutes and drained
15 ounces ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

In a large skillet heat oil over medium high heat, add beef, onion and garlic. Cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, and oregano. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.

Combine 1 cup sauce mixture with the ziti. Spoon half of the ziti mixture into a sprayed 9 x 13x 2 casserole dish; top with all the ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, 1 cup sauce, remaining ziti mixture and remaining sauce.

Cover and bake @ 350 for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup mozzarella and the Parmesan. Bake uncovered 20 minutes longer or until heated through.

Lemon Basil Bowties

1 pound bowties, or other short pasta
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
¾ cup pine nuts (about 4 ounces) toasted
1 ½ cups cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
1/2cup packed fresh basil leaves, chopped
Grated peel of 2 lemons
Salt

In boiling salted water cook pasta until al dente; drain

Transfer the pasta to a large serving bowl and toss with the olive oil. Add the toasted pine nuts, cottage or ricotta cheese, basil, and lemon peel, toss. Season to taste with salt.

Question by : Parents: How is your current parenting style different from the way you imagined it would be?
For most people, when they’re young, they imagine they’ll parent a specific way, they imagine their relationship with their children will be a certain way. How is your parenting style and the way you interact with your children, and your relationship with them, different than you imagined it would be? How has it changed over time and what has changed? Have you changed your views on subjects such as spanking, control over children, or any other controversial or semi-controversial topics since you’ve been a parent? Please elaborate, and include your childrens’ ages (or age-groups) just for background.
Thank you!

Answer by Heather
Well I have six kids, five biological, one step. They’re twenty one (girl), eighteen (boy), fifteen (boy), fifteen (step-daughter), twelve (boy) and two (girl). I have a great relationship with all of my kids for the most part, my two year old and I are having some issues right now, but that’s a whole other long story. I used to think that I would be super laid back, but I’m not. I’m very protective of my boys, I was of my daughter as well, but especially my baby boys. I don’t know why, it just worked out that way. However, we talk more than I imagined we would and I’m glad. My kids talk to me about pretty much everything.

As a child, I was spanked. At first, I assumed I would carry it on. I wasn’t spanked often, just as a very last resort. But after the birth of my oldest, I changed my mind. I decided to use time outs and taking things away. I believe that kids should have freedom, but also that they need to listen to parents and have respect. But I also think that parents need to respect kids back. That has not changed. Growing up, I felt like my own mother did not respect me since I was a “child” so I make sure my kids know I respect them, their opinions, their ideals. I used to think I’d hate it if my kids went and got birth control/had sex, but I realize that if they’re in love, then who am I to stop them? My eighteen year old is sexually active and while I make sure they’re being safe, I don’t care. I wish he had waited sometimes, but his now fiance is a wonderful woman and I know he chose the right one.

One big thing is, I never thought I would be able to accept my child being gay. When I was a teenager, I am ashamed to admit I was slightly homophobic. Then I had my first child and I realized I would love her, and any kids I had, no matter what. My fifteen year old son came out two years ago and he has been with his boyfriend since then. I love my son and I support him no matter what. He is still my son and nothing can change that.

One final thing, I never imagined wanting this many kids! As a kid, I thought two, at the most. Now I’m a mom of six. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m a very blessed mommy and I don’t know how my life would be without my wonderful (though sometimes evil) kids.
